The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU), Nasarawa State University, Keffi has faulted the State Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura for the strike action embarked upon.
Chairman of the union, Theophilous Daniel Lagi said the union embarked on the strike action because of breach of agreement on the part of the government.
Speaking with journalists shortly after a closed door meeting between stakeholders in the education sector and Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, on Monday 14 March, 2016, Lagi said the State Government has been breaching agreement in the time past.
Lagi said the strike action will only end if the State Government makes a clear-cut commitment to them.
Lagi listed some of the demands by the union to include the review of the University Law, the review of Promotion Guideline and the Academic Allowances to staff.
