FUNAAB Students Blocks Major Road, Protest Over Incessant Armed Robbery

Some major roads at Abeokuta has been blocked by Hundreds of students of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Alabata, Ogun state, as they  are now protesting against what they called intolerable incessant attacks by armed robbers on them in the  off-campus area of the University.

The development, which had crippled the Abeokuta/Ibadan road, started as early as 7.00am and as time of this report, the students are still on the road.

Access to the Alabata junction of the road has been blocked and motorists heading towards Ibadan, Osiele, Alabata road have been taking alternative routes.

Daily Trust gathered that the robbery attacks have become a regular occurrence, with the victims, mostly students of the university losing their valuables.
