Reason Why NECO Postponed 2018 Examination

The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.

The 2018 edition of the exam was earlier scheduled to begin on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

The postponement of the exam was contained in a statement released in Abuja and signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr Abubakar Gana.

The statement says; “Candidates are hereby requested to download the new examination timetable on the NECO website: www.mynecoexams.com and the e-mail used for the registration,” the statement read.

“Please note that this information supersedes the earlier media publication on the commencement date for the examination date,’’

However, candidates who sat for the 2018 WASSCE/GCE are looking forward to the release of their results.

Earlier in September, the West Africa Examination Council on its Twitter page announced that the result of the 2018 WASSCE/GCE would be out in November.

WAEC made the announcement when a curious Twitter user, Godspower Ovbije, who claims to be a Mathematics student at Delta State University asked the exam body when the result of the ongoing exam would be out.
