Ibarapa Poly Shut, Following Students Protest

It was recorded that the students of the Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa Ibarapa East Local Government, sometime last week protested against the decision of the school management to send Higher National Diploma (HND) students in the Department of Business Administration home after they were initially admitted.

The management and students of the Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa has embarked on an indefinite mid-semester break following students’ protest over admission flaws and increase in fees.

Sources further informed that police and soldiers on the state security agency, formerly known as Operation Burst are on the trail of the students.

This, according to sources led  to alleged gun shot on a student and another, a female student, also alleged to be asthmatic was tear gassed. The two students were said to be undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
