Graduands Offered Grants by Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs

Grants of a laptop and three hundred thousand Naira start-up capital has been awarded by the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs to each of its skills sponsored graduands.

The graduation ceremony for the training and empowerment programme for 64 women and youths from the Niger Delta Region held at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The trainees acquired skills in ICT, entrepreneurship and commercial snail farming.

Minister, Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Uguru Usani represented by the Permanent Secretary, Alo Williams Nwankwo challenged the trainees to deploy their skills to employment generation, food security and development of micro, small and medium enterprises in the region.

Rector of the Polytechnic, Ibadan, Professor Olatunde Fawole commended the programme while the graduands expressed gratitude to the Federal Government.
