
The University of Lagos Student Union ULSU Swearing-in and inauguration ceremony, which was initially slated for today 29th August, 2016, has now been postponed indefinitely. The new excos who were elected last week Thursday at a keenly contested election will now have to wait indefinitely for their inauguration.
The inauguration earlier stated for today, August 29, 2016 was announced to have been rescheduled moments ago this morning, although no reason was given for the postponement.
Making the announcement in a statement obtained by BlackBox Nigeria, the P.R.O-elect of the Union, Olaniyi Adeoluwa said the event has been postponed “till further notice”.
“The inauguration ceremony of we the newly elected executives scheduled to hold today, Monday the 29th of August has been postponed till further notice. We urge all LASUites to be patient with us,” his statement read.
