Students of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma AAU has staged a peaceful protest in Benin against what was tagged arbitrary increase of fees by the students, following a sudden hike in their school fees by the authority of the school.
They explained that the fees were increased from the initial N47,000 to N160,000 for some faculties and N200,000 and above for others.
Students were seen with signs which have inscriptions such as “N165k is not beans,” “Our fees are too high are angry which the state which is supposed to be the sole owner of the institution”
As of now of reporting this, the school authority is yet to say anything about this.
