Female students of the Taraba state University has raised an alarm as regard the alleged worsening security situation in the state which has result into every day armed robbery attack on the female hostel of the institution
They, however, appealed to the police and other security agencies to intensify security surveillance in the state to ensure the security of lives and properties, especially in the school hostels.
Some of the students, who spoke with newsmen, lamented that they could no longer sleep with their eyes closed in their hostels for the fear of hoodlums, who they claimed, invade their hostels and carted away over 20 handsets, laptops and over N700,000.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Catherine Musa, who confirmed the incident, said the matter was reported to her office and blamed the insecurity in the institution on the absence of perimeter fencing.
