404 students Matriculated into Federal college of wildlife

No less than 404 students has just  been matriculated into the Federal College of Wildlife Management, New Bussa.

Speaking at the occasion, which took place at the college auditorium, the Provost of the college, Dr. Solomon Kehinde assured them of quality service delivery in their educational pursuit in the college, emphasizing that programmes run by the college are duly accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

He said  the management of the college strives always to maintain a strong vision, driven towards accomplishing success and excellence.

“I want you to consider yourselves as lucky to have made it thus far by being offered admission out of many, endeavor to be good ambassadors of the families you come from, obey strictly the rules and regulations guiding your conduct in the college,” the provost advised.

Dr. Solomon Kehinde furtherbstated that “This College does not tolerate indecent/improper dressing; ensure that you are properly dressed at all times”.

The College Administrator did not end his speech without emphasizing, “The College has a vibrant Entrepreneurship Centre which contributed in no small measure in equipping our graduates with all it takes to set up businesses of their own or to be self employed after graduation.”

Speaking to Newsline on Sunday after the ceremony, Dr. Titus Ampitan, the Deputy Provost of the College, said, “Here we embrace moral uprightness, freedom of students is regulated and anything that can truncate or destroy the main purpose of coming here is avoided. It’s 90% study & hard work, 10% for sports & social activities,” Dr. Titus Ampitan noted.

Speaking along this direction, Mr. Samuel Owonubi, the college registrar and secretary to council, reassured students of their welfare and enabling environment that will make them succeed in their endeavours.

“Here (FCWM) New Bussa, hard work is rewarded with good grades. I urge all students to attend classes, do every assignment, take practical sessions seriously and pay proper attention to field works.”
