FG Commissions Ecological Project in Ebonyi

Determined to ensure that all sections of the federation, irrespective of political lining and ethnicity benefits from its developmental projects, the Federal Government recently commissioned the ecological project at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State.

According to Hajiya Zainab Ahmed, Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, the completion of the ecological project in Alex Ekwueme Federal University, is a testimony that every part of the federation would benefit from the numerous projects of the Federal Government.

To buttress government’s support for the Campus-Green Initiative of the university, which is geared towards making it the greenest and eco-friendly campus in Nigeria, , Ahmed planted a tree and assured that the Federal Government would be completing all abandoned federal government funded projects in the university.

Chinedum Nwajiuba, Vice Chancellor of the University, noted that the visit of the Minister on behalf of the Federal Government would remain a milestone in the history of the university; adding that the erosion and flood control works, encompasses culvert, drainages, asphalt roads and solar-powered street lights, which is a first of its kind in the history of the university, was a good gesture from the Federal Government.
